Remi Brulin

Born in Lyon, Rémi spent the last 10 years at NYU doing research and writing his PhD dissertation, a history of the birth and evolution of the American discourse on “terrorism,” and received his doctorate (with highest honors) from La Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris) in November 2011. First at the Media, Culture and Communication department and then at the Journalism Institute, he has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on media criticism, with a focus on political discourse and the definition of “terrorism,” all issues at the heart of a book and a series of articles he is currently working on.
