David Spungen
David Spungen is a Broadcast Journalism professional specializing in producing and editing for the TV News Magazine genre. He has been with CBS News' 48 Hours since 2001 where his work includes long form segments, hour-long projects and same day special events such as the on-going coverage following September 11, 2001 attacks.
As a free-lance producer/editor since 1986, his craft has been seen on CBS News, ABC News, PBS as well as cable outlets such as MSNBC, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, Lifetime, The Travel Channel and We Network. Prior to focusing his career on broadcast journalism, Spungen spent many years as an independent sports producer and had product broadcast by all three network sports divisions.
He has been teaching at NYU since 2001 and has a M.S. in Telecommunications from Indiana University.
