Rene Ebersole is the NYU graduate-level Science and Environmental Reporting Program’s (SERP) internship coordinator and a senior editor at Audubon magazine. An NYU alumnus (SERP 17), Rene was formerly a senior editor at National Wildlife magazine, and an editor at Current Science, a Weekly Reader publication distributed to science classrooms nationwide. Her byline has also appeared in Popular Science, Wildlife Conservation, National Geographic Explorer, and City Limits, and her first book, Gorilla Mountain, part of a kids’ series of biographies on women scientists co-published by Scholastic and National Academy of Sciences was released in September 2005. She holds an undergraduate degree in ecology and environmental science.
