
Cindy Rodríguez is a veteran journalist who has covered a myriad of topics, including politics, immigration, education, health, urban affairs, hip hop, and race relations during her 17 year career.
She has worked at The Boston Globe, The Detroit News, The (Akron) Beacon Journal, The Syracuse Newspapers, The Providence Journal, and The Village Voice. She was also a columnist for several years at The Denver Post.
Rodríguez is currently the Vice President of Print for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, an organization she has been a member of since 1989. She is also a member of The National Association of Black Journalists and the Society of Professional Journalists.
She has led college journalism workshops for NAHJ and for Unity: Journalists of Color, Inc. and has taught at Boston University, Northeastern University and Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Raised in Harlem, the daughter of a Puerto Rican mother and Cuban father, Rodríguez graduated from The City College of New York.
