Reporting NY/Nation in Multimedia Professor Yvonne Latty has won the Barry Bingham Award from the National Conference of Editorial Writers
"The Foundation board has unanimously endorsed the recommendation of the NCEW Diversity Committee that we recognize [Latty] with this year's Barry Bingham, Sr., award. It is clear from the recommendations of [her] colleagues that [she] are a most deserving recipient. They were heartfelt and so compelling. As one of the few awards our organization bestows, the Bingham award is especially important to us in our efforts to nurture and grow the diversity of voices in journalism. We ask for work that is outstanding. [Latty's] is."
She will be honored at their convention in September.
