Journalism professor, Marcia Rock's new documentary, SERVICE: WHEN WOMEN COME MARCHING HOME will be shown on Capitol Hill on June 19. Leading female Senators want Congressional members and their staffs to understand the physical and invisible challenges women vets face when they transition from active duty to civilian life. Failure to receive benefits, dealing with PSTD and homelessness are just some of the issues these vets tackle, many times on their own. The event is hosted by the Honorable Patty Murray (D-WA), Chairwomen, Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs, and co-hosted by Senators Amy Klobuchar, (D-MN), Susan Collins, (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski, (R-AK).
