Carolyn Kormann is a fellow at NYU’s Center for Latin American and Caribbean studies, where she is working towards a joint master’s degree with journalism. She moved to Manhattan from the Caribbean, where she worked as a staff writer and editor for the St. John Sun Times. Kormann grew up outside New York City and attended Middlebury College in Vermont, lived and studied in Spain for a year, and has traveled in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Panama.
