Nicole Tung is a senior at New York University, double majoring in journalism and history. A native of Hong Kong, she has worked on independent projects in Bosnia, to examine post-war reconstruction; in Kosovo, to visit minority communities; and on the Thai-Burma border, to document the situation of refugees. In December 2007, supported by an New York University grant, Nicole returned to Kosovo to document the activities of paramilitary groups, and human trafficking.

Her work was also chosen for a New York Press Photographer’s Association 2008 Excellence/Editor’s Award.
