Prof. Daniel Meltzer

Prof. Meltzer has published essays, reviews, and reports in Newsday, the Baltimore Sun, Sacramento Bee, East Hampton Star, Albany Times Union, Litchfield County Times, Irish Times, LA Times, Maisonneuve Magazine and via the AP and Chicago Tribune Syndicates. He is a former editor of the Chelsea Clinton News and the Westsider and was a writer, editor and producer for CBS News and Channel 11 News and a unit manager for ABC News. He is also an award-winning fiction writer and playwright. Professor Meltzer has taught Broadcast News Writing at NYU since 1990. He has also been co-director of the department’s Urban Journalism Workshop and led a month-long tour of college journalists through Israel and Palestinian Territories. He has also lectured widely and taught at Penn State University, St. John’s University, and Marymount Manhattan College.
