Benjamin Peim is a graduate student in NYU, pursuing a M.A. degree in journalism. Benjamin was born in New York and grew up in New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from New York University in 2005. In 2006, he taught English in a post-secondary institute in Santiago, Chile for a year. After he came back to the United States, he worked as a legal assistant in a law firm in New York City for a year and a half. He is interested in issues such as immigration, politics, international relations and education. He speaks Spanish and some Portuguese. One day, he hopes to realize his dream to be a foreign correspondent.
