Emily Earle is a graduate student in the Reporting the Nation program at New York University. Living in New York City for the past few years, Emily was born in Philadelphia and grew up in New Hampshire. She graduated from Williams College in 2001 with a degree in history and a concentration in environmental studies. Studying in Madagascar during college, she became proficient in French and interested in environmental health and justice issues. Emily worked in environmental policy and communications in Washington, DC and New York City before enrolling in journalism school. She most recently held a position at WE ACT for Environmental Justice, where one of her main projects was the launch of their new website in March 2008.
