Emily Flitter is a student in NYU’s joint masters program in journalism and Near Eastern studies. After graduating from Wellesley College, where she worked on the campus newspaper, the Wellesley News, she moved to Cairo, Egypt. As a freelancer, she wrote about business and politics for the Boston Globe, Business Monthly magazine and German-Arab Trade magazine. She also worked as a copy editor for the Egyptian state-run newspaper, the Egyptian Gazette. She is now an intern for the business and real estate sections of the New York Sun.
