Julia McCallum is a graduate student at NYU concentrating in magazine writing. She received a B.A. in anthropology from Barnard College, Columbia University in 2005 and has studied Spanish at the University of California, Berkeley and in Guanajuato, Mexico. She has been an editor, researcher, English tutor, 9-5er, shipping clerk and, most recently, a reporter for a trade publication. A native of Seattle, she currently resides in Brooklyn.
