Leigh Kamping-Carder is a graduate journalism student at NYU with a focus on Cultural Reporting and Criticism. She earned her B.A. in Art History at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. As an undergraduate, she wrote for various school publications, such as UBC’s daily newspaper and its alternative monthly. She also founded and edited Bleach Magazine, a publication for creative writing and visual arts. In the intervening year, Leigh spent five months in India, scribbling riotously into notebooks, a stack of which now sits in her closet, smelling faintly of cardamom.
