Mari Hayman has lived and worked in Uruguay, Brazil, and Japan, and is currently pursuing a dual M.A. in Global Journalism and Latin American Studies. Mari’s academic interests include multiracial identity, Japanese immigrant communities in the Americas, and truth and reconciliation in Latin America. She hopes to learn more about social justice while exploring her new neighborhood in New York.
