CRC Student Gets Book Deal

February 10, 2009

Current CRC student Thomas Chatterton Williams recently sold a book proposal to the Penguin Press about growing up black in the age of hip-hop. The book, tentatively titled Losing My Cool: Growing Up Black in the Age of Hip Hop, will be published in 2010. The idea for the book came from a piece Williams wrote in Prof. Katie Roiphe’s Writing Social Commentary class that was later published in the The Washington Post.
