The View From Democracy Plaza

By Sandra Ogle | Oct 27, 2004 Print

Since October 20th, Rockefeller Center has been transformed into Democracy Plaza, an outdoor, interactive exhibition in celebration of democracy and citizenship. Among the Plaza’s diverse offerings, Declare Yourself, a national non-profit that encourages young people to vote, has an original copy of the Declaration of Independence in its multimedia exhibit. And the children’s publishing company Scholastic has a Democracy for Kids interactive exhibit, where kids can place their vote for president.
