John Edwards HQ Attacked ... by a Starfish?

As FishbowlNY says, maybe it's time for the Edwards campaign to get off the Web.

Their campaign headquarters in the virtual world of Second Life was "griefed," or attacked.

From the Edwards Campaign Blog :

They plastered the area with Marxist/Lenninist posters and slogans, a feces spewing obsenity, and a photoshopped picture of John in blackface, all the while harrassing visitors with right-wing nonsense and obsenity-laden abuse of Democrats in general and John in particular.

Granted, Second Life has a history of being anarchistic and putting a physical face on the "Wild West" aspect of online social groups. But is it such a bad idea to explore these new opportunities? After all, who'd believe that a Meetup group would inspire "Net-roots"?

On a special note, check out a larger copy of the image on the Edwards' blog, if you're a fan of a certain anime.
