Who's Gawking on Gawker, Anyway?

Well, it's really easy to tell since Gawker has finally added bylines--and an Ombudsman.

Poor Choire couldn't take it anymore :

At this point, it's gotten too hard for y'all much-appreciated readers to know to whom you should address your hate mail.

And so Gawker Proper joins the other multi-editor/contributor style of...well, the other Gawker blogs that have been doing this for far longer. So why has Gawker Proper taken so long to put a name on its--er, their? His? Her?--snark?

Well, not all of the Gawker editors will go quietly into the night, as Alex Balk goes off on a side note to explain that around here ("here" being the Internet) you use the Royal We and yo--er, WE be proud! (Also because you can get away with hiding behind your other editors, it seems, as Balk does a bit further down the piece.)

Not to mention Gawker now has an Ombudsman. But I've got the feeling that he's about as serious as Choire was calm when he talked to our class.
