If Only All Interns Had This Effect on Newsstand Sales ...

Teen Vogue, is estimating a 16 percent growth in newsstand sales for its February and March issues over the same issues last year.

Part of the reason may be due to the second season premiere of "The Hills," the popular MTV reality show spin-off of "Laguna Beach" that follows Lauren Conrad through her life as a fashion student and Teen Vogue intern in Los Angeles. The show currently reaches 2.5 million viewers, and has left everyone at NYU looking for that super intern.

Piggybacking on the success of an already popular star -- and sneaking your magazine’s name into a reality show -- might be the secret formula to cross-promotion success. Although making sure the show is packed with girl fights, backstabbing, and The Male Paris Hilton probably doesn’t hurt either.

I caught the episode recap on Idolator. It kind of made me die on the inside.
