The New Reporting Breed

The crew over at Highsnobiety, “one of the most read urban fashion and sneaker websites on the internet,” branded their own kind of on-site reporting this season at the Magic tradeshow in Las Vegas.

Blogs are excellent sources of breaking news for all kinds of products and such, but few take the extra step to go out and generate their own content. The Weekly Drop reports daily from the booths at Magic (and a handful of other shows) to the rest of the world; they’ve even got their own logo’d up mic to stick in people’s faces as they interview -- classy!

Magic is a highly visually stimulating place to be and a joy to observe. Brands from all over the world flock to Vegas twice a year to showcase their goods in booths set up in true convention style. Fame, fortune, and glamor (all the staples of the strip) are up for grabs as almost everyone in the industry stops and takes notice.

Kudos to the crew at Highsnobiety to taking it to the next level. Their grassroots reporting style lets a whole new audience in on the action.
