Naomi's Media Escapade

Naomi Campbell certainly used her community services to her best interest. We’ve all seen the pictures from day one to day five … she’s worn everything from $1,000 Christian Louboutin boots to fur coats and then she left her stint in a Dolce and Gabbana couture dress for a “photo shoot” she had to attend.

Riiiiiight.

Every day Campbell went to work, she had paparazzi taking her picture, but also had one special photographer following her. Now, people are wondering if she’s doing this all as a photo shoot for W magazine.

I doubt W would do this, but then again, I could be wrong. I do, like many others, think that she degraded her time doing community service by showing up every day in a different outfit and then ending with a spectacle. At least she plans on selling her work outfits for proceeds to a charity. Why not sell that fur, though?

But I guess her job is not morality, but rather keeping her name in the papers and getting more publicity. So, way to go, Naomi. You accomplished exactly what you set out to do. There isn’t a blog without your fiasco on it, and maybe a magazine realized how to capitalize on media news in a way the blogs couldn’t. I look forward to next month’s W.
