Darragh Worland

Darragh Worland is a New York-based multiplatform journalist with ten years of experience working for major news media in print (Metro and the New York Sun ), TV (ABC News, Reuters Video News, NY1) and the web (Foxnews.com, NY1.com). Darragh has written both news and features for the web. Most recently, as a senior multimedia producer for MSN Money, she pitched, shot and edited financial news video, wrote scripts and coordinated the creation of charts and graphics. In March, she started teaching basic and advanced DV camera classes to producers, writers and correspondents at ABC News as part of ABC’s initiative to move to a “digital journalist” model. In the fall of 2007, Darragh took her professional skills back to her alma mater, helping to launch the first multimedia reporting course for graduate students at NYU’s Department of Journalism. In the fall of 2010, she will run the multimedia lab in the newsroom for the soon-to-launch East Village Local, NYU's collaboration with The New York Times.
