Prerequisites: Journalistic Inquiry: The Written Word JOUR-UA 101

This course examines the interplay between influence, artificial intelligence, and automation in the context of journalism. Students will explore how AI technologies are used to influence behavior and decision-making, the ethical implications of these technologies, and how automation shapes and is shaped by social and psychological factors. Students will explore how influence and persuasion intersect with automation and artificial intelligence, including ethical considerations and practical applications.

Notes: Counts as an elective for the journalism major and both journalism minors.
