Talmon Joseph Smith
Visiting Scholar
Talmon Joseph Smith, a writer and researcher, is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A. ’16), a former Harvard IoP Ambassador, and a former fellow at the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy. Before joining GQ’s editorial team, he worked as a policy writer at Issue One, a nonpartisan campaign finance thinktank.
Smith was also a speaker at Frontiers of Democracy and the President’s dedication ceremony of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate.
A contributor to VICE, The American Prospect, The Huffington Post, and Salon his current research focus entails dissecting political communication and anatomizing the roots of systemic conflicts of interests produced by the current campaign finance system.
