Clover Hope is a journalist and author with over 20 years of experience writing for publications like Esquire, Elle, Wall Street Journal Magazine, GQ, Wired, the New York Times, and Vogue. Hope has covered the spectrum of pop culture across print, digital, and audio, holding editor positions at Billboard, Vibe, XXL, and Jezebel. Her award-winning book, 2021’s The Motherlode: 100+ Women Who Made Hip-Hop, is the first comprehensive history of women rappers. Her notable creative productions include Beyoncé’s Emmy-winning visual film Black Is King (2021) and the Hulu docu-series RapCaviar Presents (2023).
