Robert Davis (AJO 2022) took home four awards at the Society of Professional Journalists Top of the Rockies contest.

He shared a First Place prize in the Politics Feature category for a piece in The Progressive about how newcomers from South America survived in Denver after being bussed to the state by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. Davis won Second Place in the Politics Feature Category for a story in Jacobin Magazine about how cities welcomed newcomers about a year after they arrived. He won a Third Place award for Social Justice Reporting for a story in Shelterforce about the growth of medical respite shelters across the U.S. And finally, Davis won another Third Place award in the Politics News category for his in The Colorado Times-Recorder about Colorado Republicans backing down from the political theatre of anti-sanctuary city ordinances.
