Kelso Harper

Kelso Harper is a multimedia journalism instructor for SHERP and Scientific American’s senior multimedia editor. They built and now run Scientific American’s vertical video operation, which has received a Telly award and four Webby nominations. Kelso has also produced short documentaries, YouTube videos and written articles for a variety of publications, like Science, WIRED, MIT News and Popular Mechanics. They have a bachelor’s in chemistry from Johns Hopkins University and a master’s in science writing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they now guest lecture on short-form video.
