Before joining AJO, I had some solid journalism and communications skills, thanks to my bachelor’s degree in the field. However, AJO provided me with an opportunity to further enhance my knowledge by delving deeper into the intricacies of journalism. One of the highlights of my experience was meeting with industry experts who were our guests in intimate classroom settings. We also had class time with professors who are currently working journalists with extensive knowledge of important skills like research and interviewing techniques, which they graciously shared with us as students. Additionally, AJO helped me develop the confidence to identify, write, and pitch stories effectively. Thanks, AJO!
