Reporting Grants

NYU Journalism is offering multiple grants, up to $1,000 each, to graduate or undergraduate students who are working on substantive reporting projects in any medium.

The grants are designed to support research costs associated with reporting these stories. Funds may be used for travel. International travel is subject to NYU’s Covid-19 travel policies.

Eligibility

Open to both NYU graduate and undergraduate journalism students. To be eligible to apply:

• Graduate students must be enrolled in an NYU Journalism masters program.
• Undergraduate students should be declared journalism majors or minors.

Application and Deadline

For Spring 2025: 

• We are no longer accepting applications for this grant. We were accepting rolling admisisons until March 31. However, we have reached our grant capacity.
