In this course, students will expand their understanding of the possibilities of longform audio storytelling in theory and practice. Students will go beyond the fundamentals to engage with deeper questions of form, structure, and material in audio work. They will be exposed to new techniques for generating and choosing ideas for stories, experiment with innovative approaches to interviewing, and participate in intensive workshops to level up their editing and producing skills. They will also meet luminaries in the field to workshop their stories and learn about contemporary conversations in the industry. By the end of the semester students will create a non-narrated narrative and one feature-length work.

Students need to have completed one semester of an Audio Course, or received permission from the instructor, to enroll.
