During four, fast-moving weeks, this course introduces non-journalism majors to instantly useful reporting and writing skills. Learn how the pros do it: Journalists are trained to walk into any room and come out with answers. We know how to talk to strangers. Managing deadline pressures is part of the job. And, of course, journalism is an exciting form of self-expression.
Assignments and classroom exercises will offer experience in gathering information, organizing your written and spoken stories, interviewing, listening and assessing situations.
By the end of this course, you will leave with new skills for success in your personal, professional, and academic lives. And you’ll have fun in the process.
