GlobalBeat is NYU Journalism’s international field reporting class, run by Professor Jason Maloney. The class prepares graduate students for the rigors of overseas reporting while working on broadcast-quality video news reports for prominent national outlets. A trip to an overseas location is embedded in the class (during Spring Break). Past destinations: Morocco, Senegal, Ukraine and Cambodia. 2018 destination will be determined in late 2017.
