Leading climate change journalists Darryl Fears and Somini Sengupta will examine how to find and follow stories of environmental racism and justice. Their discussion will be moderated by NYU Journalism Distinguished Writer in Residence Eliza Griswold.

Fears has been with The Washington Post since 1999 and won a Pulitzer Prize for his work on the 2019 climate team project “2C: Beyond the Limit.” Before joining the Post, he worked for the Detroit Free Press, the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and the Los Angeles Times.

Sengupta is a George Polk Award-winning foreign correspondent for The New York Times. She has reported from a Congo River ferry, a Himalayan glacier, the streets of Baghdad and Mumbai and many places in between.
