Mario Kaiser Wins The Kurt Tucholsky Prize for Literary Journalism
Mario Kaiser, NYU Journalism 1997, has been awarded the 2013 Kurt Tucholsky Prize for Literary Journalism. The Kurt Tucholsky Prize for Literary Journalism is named for a towering figure in German literature and is awarded every two years for a writer’s body of work. The jury cited Mario’s stories for their “moving depth and the subtle way in which they weave together social conditions and the protagonists’ personal circumstances, illuminating the subjective reality behind a pretextual façade.”
