Student Hearst Award Winners Put NYU in Top 10
New York University placed in the Top 10 for accumulated student points in the 2016-17 Hearst Journalism Awards Writing Competition.
NYU winners and finalists for this year’s writing competition were:
Omar Etman (Feature Writing)

Mariana Fernandez (Enterprise Reporting)
“How Ghana’s Biggest Slum Copes with Climate Change-Fueled Floods“)
Kelvin Huang (Sports Writing)
“Fight Night“
Josephine Marie Luck (“Computing Your Commute” and “NYU Students with Pets“) was also a finalist in the TV Features competition.
