NYU Journalism Student Sarah Stodder (Lit Rep 2017) Wins GSAS Threesis Academic Challenge
The Journalism Institute is proud to announce that Literary Reportage MA student Sarah Stodder took first place in the annual Threesis Academic Challenge held by the Graduate School of Arts and Science (GSAS) at NYU. The annual competition is a vehicle to showcase the academic excellence and important scholarly work of GSAS master’s students. Each participant has three minutes to present a compelling oration on the significance of their research in language appropriate for a non-specialized audience. In a field of 51 competitors across 19 academic departments ranging from Biology and Computer Science to Politics and Journalism, Ms. Stodder took first place with her presentation on a reported essay about Rhode Island’s oldest summer home.
Stodder is a writer from San Francisco who is currently based in New York.
