Two GloJo alums win 2020 Pulitzer Prizes
Molly O’Toole (GloJo-IR 2011) and Ian Duncan (GloJo-IR 2012) won Pulitzer Prizes in Audio Reporting and Local Reporting, respectively.
Molly O’Toole along with the staff of This American Life and freelancer Emily Green won the first ever Pulitzer Prize given for audio journalism for “‘The Out Crowd’–revelatory, intimate journalism that illuminates the personal impact of the Trump Administration’s “Remain in Mexico” policy.”
Ian Duncan (GloJo-IR 2012), now at The Washington Post, won for Local Reporting as part of a team at The Baltimore Sun for their “illuminating, impactful reporting on a lucrative, undisclosed financial relationship between the city’s mayor and the public hospital system she helped to oversee.”
