Two NYU Journalism undergraduates made the top 20 list of the Explanatory Writing competition of the Hearst Awards. Congratulations to Alex Tey (11th Place tie), who wrote “Bird-safe glass design at 181 Mercer saves wildlife and energy” for the Washington Square News, and Chandra Xu (15th Place) for her Cooper Squared story “COVID Has Upended the Creative Industry. Here’s How It’s Also Changing Our Perception of Art.”
