Cecilia Nowell, GloJo 2020, Named a 2022 Livingston Award Finalist

Wallace House and the University of Michigan have named Cecilia Nowell, a 2020 graduate of the Global Journalism program, a Livingston Award finalist for excellence in national reporting. One of 52 finalists chosen from more than 450 entries, Nowell is being recognized for her piece “She Used Drugs While Pregnant. Should She Be in Prison?” which ran in New York Magazine’s The Cut in September 2021. The winners will be announced on June 8, at a ceremony hosted by Dean Baquet, The New York Times executive editor.
