Kathryn Palmer joined USA Today as its Elections Reporting Fellow in California, where she covers statewide politics and campaign news connected to the 2024 presidential and congressional elections. Her focus on government accountability stretches back to her time as a local news reporter and inspired her overseas reporting and research in France, Morocco and Tunisia while in the Global Journalism program.
Mehar Gujral, NewsDoc MA 2023
Mehar Gujral is the Post-Production Coordinator at Gigantic Studios, an award-winning post-production house in New York City. She assisted on the upcoming "Checkpoint Zoo" feature documentary and is a pre-screener at American Documentary for "POV" on PBS, America's longest-running showcase for independent nonfiction films. While at NYU, Mehar took classes in filmmaking and screenwriting and was a 2022 NY Emmys Grantee and South Asian Journalists' Association Scholarship Winner.
