Adam Platt has been a contributing editor and chief restaurant critic for New York magazine since 2000. During the course of nearly four decades in the magazine business, he’s written for a variety of publications, including The New Yorker (staff Talk of the Town writer), The New York Observer (columnist), Esquire, and Condé Nast Traveler. He is the winner (many years ago) of the James Beard award for restaurant criticism, and the author of the memoir “The Book of Eating”, published by Ecco Press.
