Alex Laughlin

Alex Sujong Laughlin is an audio producer and writer. She currently works at Transmitter Media. She previously worked at BuzzFeed News and the Washington Post, and she has produced shows for the New York Times, the Financial Times, the Poynter Institute, Caveat, and herself. She taught interactive journalism at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and has mentored with the Poynter-Koch Journalism & Leadership fellowship, the Asian American Journalists Association, the Knight-Lenfest Table Stakes initiative, and more. She grew up in a military family, so she’s kind of from everywhere, but she graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in women’s studies.
