Alexandra Starr

Alexandra Fuenmayor Starr recently served as a New York City-based immigration and social policy correspondent for National Public Radio. Her radio stories have also aired on Marketplace and WNYC. In addition to her broadcast work, Starr writes long form print pieces for Harper‘s and has contributed to The New York Times Magazine, The New Republic, Slate, and The American Scholar. Her piece about African athletes being trafficked to the United States to play basketball was included in the 2016 edition of Best American Sports Writing.
