Blair Hickman

Blair is a teacher and journalist who specializes in crowdsourcing, audience engagement and innovation, with a focus on social justice and social entrepreneurship.

After working with ProPublica on explanatory journalism for a year while in Studio20, she joined the investigative newsroom full time in 2012. She then joined The Marshall Project as Audience Editor in 2014. She has taught at Columbia, CUNY, USC, the IRE conference and led various professional trainings for both universities and newsrooms.

She has a degree in nonfiction writing from Brown, and is an alum of Studio 20.
