Brett Murphy

Brett Murphy is an investigative journalist on ProPublica’s national desk, where he covers the federal government. He has won the Pulitzer Prize, George Polk Award, and Livingston Award, among other honors. His articles have influenced laws and sparked a range of reforms. Murphy also co-founded the “Local Matters” newsletter, a weekly roundup of the best investigative and watchdog reporting from local newsrooms around the country.
