Before getting into this program I had just finished earning my BA in Film from UCF with a minor in Journalism. I also interned at NBC, so I had previous broadcast experience. I thought I was prepared for everything — until I took Jason Gewirtz’s Broadcast Reporter class at AJO. He prepared me for my new job. His class made me an amazing editor, reporter, and writer. I used his training to make my demo reel. Jason prepared me to write news scripts, produce, and edit. It was a boot camp for anyone who wants to be an On Air Reporter. Without that class, I wouldn’t be where I am now – a multimedia journalist at CBS affiliate WBTW in Myrtle Beach, SC.”
