Diego Ibarguen

Diego Ibarguen is counsel in The Hearst Corporation Office of General Counsel, specializing in First Amendment and Media Law issues, with particular focus on public access to government records and courts, source protection, newsgathering, pre-publication review, and defamation defense. Before joining Hearst, Diego was an associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel, where he worked on a wide variety of First Amendment and other litigation matters. Prior to law school, Diego worked as a Newsman on the New York City Desk of The Associated Press, and as a White House Correspondent for Knight Ridder Newspapers D.C. Bureau. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University and Yale Law School, and a former clerk for The Hon. Anthony J. Scirica of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
