Emily Driscoll

Adjunct Faculty | SHERP 2007

Emily Driscoll is a video instructor for SHERP and an award-winning science video producer. She has created short films for Scientific AmericanQuanta Magazine, the World Science Festival, and Science Friday, including directing the HHMI/Science Friday series “Breakthrough: Portraits of Women in Science,” an anthology of six films highlighting women across STEM fields. Her Scientific American film “The Quest to Save Parasites” won the 2023 Gold Award for Video: Spot News/Feature Reporting from the AAAS Kavli Science Journalism Awards. In addition to her independent projects, Emily is the lead video producer at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she creates videos about health innovations and inspiring patient stories. She has earned three New York Emmy Awards for her work in science and health storytelling. A 2007 graduate of SHERP, she also has an MA in science documentary production from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
