Jen Percy

Jen Percy is an award-winning journalist and contributing writer at the New York Times Magazine. She is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize, the National Magazine Award for Feature Writing, the Dart Award for Excellence in Coverage of Trauma, and was a finalist for the Livingston Award in International Reporting. She has received fellowships and grants from the MacDowell Colony, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the National Endowment for the Arts, and elsewhere. Her first book Demon Camp: A Soldier’s Exorcism was a New York Times Notable Book. Currently, she is working on Girls Play Dead, a nonfiction book forthcoming with Doubleday, about sexual violence, passivity, and the pathologization of victim behavior.
